1. Map where each function happens
Write down where each act of the business takes place; conflating these functions is what causes most of the later trouble.

Having no shop rent does not mean having no property-related cost — it means the cost has moved.

No shop never means an invisible business
The registered office, the contact details, the storage locations and the applicable permits all still have to be declared or verified. Do not present mobility as a way around the rules.
4. Set the limits where the model stops working
As soon as you hire, receive the public, hold more stock, transform products or create a nuisance, revalidate both the place and the obligations attached to it.
- Address: stable and monitored
- Stock: located and insured
- Delivery: proof of handover and of return
- Growth: the threshold at which premises become necessary
Do not hide a physical business behind the word “online”. The customer, the insurer and the administration all need to know where the operator and the goods actually are.
5. Sell on the move without losing the trail
A mobile activity is still required to connect the sale, the payment, the document and the stock.
- Attribute every sale to the correct user.
- Keep a validated catalogue and validated prices.
- Plan for offline operation where the network is unreliable.
